    Manufacturing Cluster or Industrial district of Chinese Furniture Industry

    Abstract: It is the global trend that manufacturing industry clusters round some geographical region forming manufacturing cluster or industrial districts. Since the reform and open in China, there has been four furniture industrial districts which are located in North-eastern China , North China, Eastern China and South China. In recent years, it appears to cluster much more the same type of enterprises in a given area to form the industrial district linked by the industrial chain in Chinese furniture industry. The enterprises should specialize their performance and cooperate socially in Chinese furniture industrial districts. that are constituted by final firms, phase firms, service firms and the composite set of intermediate institutions in order .to form the social system with high competitive edge, among which the furniture associations should play an important role.
    摘要：制造业在一个地理区域内集聚，形成工业群落或工业区已成为一个全球现象。改革开放以来，中国家具业已形成东北家具工业区、华北家具工业区、华东家具工业区，华南家具工业区。近年来，在这些工业区内企业出现了更加聚集的趋势，形成由产业链构成的工业区。中国家具业的工业区应进行专业化分工、社会化协作，它们主要由终端企业、中间企业、服务型企业和中介机构组成一个具有高度竞争力的社会系统，其中家具协会应发挥重要作用。
    1 中国家具业的区域经济发展
    家具制造业在一个地理区域内集聚，形成工业群落或工业区(Manufacturing cluster or industrial district )已成为一个全球现象。在发达国家，由于历史和经济发展的原因，如意大利早在20世纪的60年代至70年代，就形成了几个大的家具工业区，如贝萨罗、波吉邦西、弗留利-威尼斯朱利亚椅子工业区等，在美国有北卡罗来纳等等。在发展中国家有马来西亚的麻坡家具产业区、菲律宾的宿务家具产业区等。中国自改革开放以来，家具业取得了巨大的发展，目前已形成四个大的家具产业区，以沈阳、大连为中心的东北家具产业区；以北京、天津和河北、山东为中心的华北家具产业区；以浙江、江苏、上海为中心的华东家具产业区；以广东、福建为中心的华南家具产业区。
    但是我国家具业的这种区域发展呈现出有别于其他国家的特点，即出现了所有制和产业中心的转移并随之产业集聚的现象。
    改革开放前，我国家具业的中心在是以京津和上海为首的长江三角洲地区如上海、南京、无锡、苏州等，改革开放以后的发展使家具业向广东、浙江、东北、华北等地转移，并逐步发展成为现在的四大产业区，而广东已成为我国最大的家具生产中心，其产值占全国的三分之一以上，出口则占一半以上；所有制的转移则更为明显，从原来以国有、集体所有制为主转变为以民营、中外合资、外资为主，它们以旺盛的活力推动我国家具业的发展，我国的家具生产额已位居世界前列，出口额已名列世界第二。近年，在我国家具业发达地区如广东、浙江等正在兴办家具工业（园）区，表现出产业集聚的趋势。
